EACH IS GREAT IN ITS OWN PLACE!

I am writing this just to pen down a few discussions I had with my friends last week. An honest opinion is always welcome!

Gender:-

I dont claim women are greater than men. Nor do I support the viceversa(I am a feminist).
The whole thing began when one of my old classmates talked something offensive in an abusive language to
my friend(a girl). When asked why he had to say it, he merely replied that that’s the way he talks to any other guy  and he just said it for the heck of it. When told that its not the way to talk to a girl, he retorted back saying why doesn’t equality of men and women hold there. True.. man and woman are not equal. It is just that each is great in his/her own place. A comparison isn’t valid at all.  Each deserves respect and and it has to be mutual.

Language:-

I seriously despise people who have no respect towards their language. It is not a compulsion that one has to write/read one’s mother tongue. Not many are blessed to do this. But certainly that does not mean they dont care for  it. Having tolerance towards other languages is a courtesy. No language is better than the other. Each is great in its own place. When an outsider comes to seek help(whatever form it may be in- job, education, marriage), he/she should be treated with respect and amity. Forming seperate groups based on language and contemning the other group is very ill.

Education:-

Damn! I had to listen to hear something sick about education too. Subjects on arts and culture are not very popular now. One reason I see is:-  Technology is developing at a much faster pace and employment opportunities are high and more profitable. But that does not mean every *tech-person* is a traitor and has no regard for arts/culture/country. I personally know(or heard of) few people who have graduated from IITs as qualified engineers and are IAS/IFS officers now. I know mr.X who has pursued MA(telugu) after graduating as an engineer from BEC. It is true that many of the engineers continue to be on the tech side, but there are considerable people who try to do something off the track. None of the people from either groups has a disregard for the country. As said earlier, each is great in its own place.

Arts:-

There’s NO comparision between music and dance. Both are eternal and fabulous. All that I have to say here is, Each is great in its own place.

As a review:- I have seen fashion movie of late. I was completely reluctant to watch it except for the director and songs. Having read that it is a real story, I have seen it and am delighted that I saw it. The dark side of the fashion world was shown very well and it took me half a day to come out of a feeling that is inexplicable. I also wonder if there is any model who is pure and chaste. As a matter of fact, those films that are based on real life incidents are such a delight to watch. Mahanadi is also one such movie that almost got me out of my senses. TZP is worth-mentioning. Wish it wins the oscar award.

  1. Very novel post and viewpoint. Fashion did not work for me but it is much better than a lot of other films.

  4. There are few others like Shankarabharanam n Sagarasangamam both of which are amazing pieces of art. Movies which are close to reality are always better to watch than those where an NRI hero who might not have touched even a single plant in his garden comes to India and ploughs an entire farm for a girl! Yes, I like NVNV,not for the story but for Siddharth :D

It is really nice to have an ethic-based blog from…zara hatke from the regular rhyming poems. Am not saying they are not good…they are equally wonderful. [:)]
And yeah…just the mention of the sentence “Based on true life incident” brings on an inclination to watch that particular movie and more often than not leaves a pretty deep impact on us (me at least). Few movies which fall in this genre, in addition, to those mentioned above are ‘Matrudevobhava’, ‘Anthu leni katha’, etc, etc.
@redrod: No jokes this time [;)]
@deepthi: Yeah…he luks supremely cute in that movie [:D]

The comments are based on a review rather than a post.. coming to the post.. everything is fine but why are u mentioning all these things all of a sudden.. yes you might say its MY blog.. Thats ok !

well written post on each aspect but the details you are talking about are so sparse and instead you should have thought of writing a series of posts each on one topic from the above so that will give ample space for you to pen your views and for us to understand them :P

coming to fashion it was good :)

    btw …

the post is good and i am not commenting on each topic because it would become a post and it should be on my blog :D

just writing on language, i think your views are based on MNS, they would surely be having another view which should be viewed :P

i guess it would be better to write a separate post on each topic so that you would be having ample space to express your views and we can understand them.. :)

You didn’t get the point here.
I am talking only about the films that are based on real life incidents. I am pretty sure sankarabharanam and nvnv are not of this kind. And yeah, Siddharth is such a sweet heart :D

  10. Gender:

It’s a hormonal(literally) thingy! It’s worth noting that there are few things *built-in* in each of us to be either a man or woman. However hard one tries, they could only be altered by evolution. Let me put it this way, this fuss of gender equality is a half-circle with male-dominant society at left end and female-dominant on the right, and the surface is ideally smooth. So, according to my above theory, the oscillation never ends!

I don’t have any idea what Thakare is doing. I’ll refrain from talking about that activity. But, I donot think it’s a *blessing* or a *boon* to learn/learn-in once own language. An educated person should easily foresee the pros of doing so. And at the same time, tolerance is a must! Expect a post on tidbits soon, but in a totally different perspective :)

Hi anupama …this is the first time I am writing a comment on your blog !!! A neatly written article but I agree with rohit that you should have given separate treatment to each of the topics :) ….
